The Everwell Philosophy

Our Three Guiding Pillars

Empower Caregivers

I believe caregivers are a child's most important and influential teachers. Everwell implements a parent coaching model. I will encourage caregiver participation in therapy, provide strategies to implement outside of therapy, and build caregiver confidence in whatever area we are addressing.

Be Responsive

I believe behavior is communication, which is why I will always emphasize, encourage, and practice responsive therapy. Our goal is always to honor behavior as communication, which, in turn, will teach children that we acknowledge and respect what their bodies and minds are telling them.

Be Child/Family Centered

I believe in therapy that fits comfortably within the routines of your child and family. The way we can ensure the most carryover is to provide and teach therapy techniques that are functionalpersonalized, and unique to a child and family. Therapy will always be sensitive to the way your family operates.

When it comes to
Feeding Therapy

  • I believe in responsive feeding and neurodiversity affirming therapy, regardless of age, no matter what

  • I believe in feeding your child, period - breast milk, formula, nursing, bottles, both, purees, solids, with a spoon, with their hands, with your hands, all of those, or none of those

  • I believe a lifelong healthy relationship with food and eating starts at birth, I want to help YOU lay that foundation

  • I recognize feeding can be hard and time consuming, I want to make it less daunting

  • I recognize all cultures and families have unique values when it comes to eating, feeding, food, and mealtimes

When it comes to
Communication Therapy

  • I am a neurodiversity affirming therapist, which means I respect autism and ADHD as neurotypes, not diseases or illnesses that need to be cured or "normalized"

  • I may know a lot about speech and language development, but you know the most about your child - this is why we will create goals that align with your family's goals

  • I am strengths based, which means we can identify your child's greatest strengths and build on them to learn new skills

  • I recognize that verbal communication is not the only kind of reliable and effective communication
